Pulling Vocals from A Stereo Mix

I have video with stereo audio. All the instruments recorded great but because of the placement of the mic, the vocals are weak. Any suggestions on how to pull the vocals up without pulling the other instruments up ?

The best way would be to get the original mix and turn up the vocals. If all you have is a stereo mix you could try equalization on it.
