Audio Problems

With Metro SE 6.1.0 on G4 1 gig OS 10.2.8 audio is getting in but not outputting. I have line in set and am getting good levels. All other computer sounds are outputting but there seems to be no play thru or even an option for play thru. I see no software play thru in the switches menu. Any advice? Thanks

The track that has the audio? What does the output column of the tracks window say? It should say something like built-in-1.

It says built- in aud 1. I use a Mackie 1202 but that's just for output to the computer. The G4 line out is to a pair of powered Roland speakers which are working fine with quicktime and itunes.

If you do not have audio recorded you will not be able to hear anything since thru will not work with the SE version.

I would recommend re-wiring your setup so that the mixer outputs to the speakers. I would connect the aux output of the mixer to the computer input and the main output of the mixer to the speakers. I would also connect the computer output to a stereo input channel of the mixer. This setup will allow you to monitor any input or output through the mixer and by using aux sends you should be able to easily configure what audio gets sent to the computer.

Just my 2 cents.
