Playthrough LX

Postby Badeye » Wed Mar 03, 2004 1:15 pm

Hi
I'm running LX on a G4 iMac OSX 2.8. I use a iMic as an input device and everything records just fine, but I'm a bit confused about playthrough while recording - for example hearing my guitar as I record a track. I'm unable to do this at the moment. Is it a limitation of LX or my OS?

Oh, and is there a an upgrade from LX to the full version?

Both. I do not know of any program that will play through correctly on the iMic (or any USB audio device that is using the Apple Driver which disconnects the USB input from the USB output). The best way to overcome this limitation is to get a mixer and plug the input and output of the iMic into it. You can get some very decent mixers for as little as $69 or so.

There is not yet but we are working on it and it should show up in the store within the next week or so.

phonix micro I preamp

Postby Badeye » Wed Mar 03, 2004 6:29 pm

Thanks for getting back so quickly.
I've got (today) a "phonix micro I preamp", I'll give it a try tomorrow (late here). Regarding the iMic - don't I have to switch between input or output? Can I have both at the same time?
