Importing Audio files from Opcode Vision

Postby mackayb » Wed Aug 20, 2003 6:45 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to import a project from Opcode's Vision DSP to Metro. I have two projects in Vision that I would like to enhance with Metro, but they have audio files that I can no longer replicate via MIDI (long story; short version is I no longer have a couple of the MIDI instruments that the songs use).

I have no idea where to even start so any help is appreciated!

You should be able to simply import the audio files using file:import-Audio-File and the MIDI files by file:import-MIDI

Well thanks for responding, Jeremy, to all kinds of questions - both intelligent and dumb. I assumed that Vision recorded the audio in a proprietary format, but I was wrong. I should have done more experimenting/exploring instead of just assuming. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to such queries even as lowly as mine. I'm in the middle of importing the record files and it works like a charm! Yet another reason I upgraded to the full version of Metro when I finished grad school! I will definitely spread the good report as much as I can about your company & product!

Thanks again!
