How to delete a MIDI track?

Postby Fred » Sat Feb 15, 2003 12:08 pm

i have a MIDI file (type 1) with 3 tracks imported and want to delete the second track. Selecting the track and "cut" makes it empty, but after export and re-import the track is still there, named "Untitled". How can i *delete* this track?

Use the Delete Tracks command from the edit menu.

"Delete Tracks" gives me the same result like "cut": after export there is an empty track named "Untitled".

Fred,

If the problem is that you have track 1, track 2 (that you want deleted) and track 3.

Then you need to drag track 2 down to track 3 and then delete it. To drag track 2 down, grab its number in the tracks window and drag down.

'Untitled' appears in the graphic editor even if the track does not exist.

Great! That works. After having tried out most of the MIDI and Audio functions let me say, that i am really impressed by the powerful and handy system.
