In Metro 6.5.2 a font file named "AloisNew.TTF" must be in the system fonts folder. Usually it is a path like "HD:Library:Fonts".

To be sure you have this font installed. Go to Apple's Font Book program. The font name appears in Font Book as "Aloisen New". If it is not installed then you will see the message you are seeing and notation will not be available.

Did you install in Mountain Lion using the 6.5.2 installer?

I do not have Mountain Lion in house yet but I will post here when I find out anything.

Hello Elmar,

I don't understand. Can you please describe the steps you performed to produce the 'missing font' error?

Thanks.

Please excuse my bad english !
I've performed an update of Moutain Lion.
The Metro program, I have not reinstalled.
The fontset I have not changed.
After your hint about ALOISEN-Font I have in the "Zeichensatzverwaltung" (German)
found ALOISEN and NEW-ALOISEN were inaktiv.
I have now idea How that happened?
Then I startet the correction funktion an it worked.
I do not know what happened exaktly?

Okay thank you for the explanation.

So I assume the only problem (so far) with upgrading your system to Mountain Lion is that the installed Fonts may be deactivated and need re-activation via Font Book. Correct?

I have done some initial testing and Metro works fine in Mountain Lion. The only problem is Apple. First, in Lion they get rid of the scroll bar arrows and now they won't let anyone install software except through the stupid Apple store. Also Mountain Lion will not install on perfectly good and fast Apple Macintosh computers like the quad core Mac Pro I have. Ironically I have seen it installed on not so fast Windows based PC's using VMWare. I am certainly not an Apple fan-boy at this point.

To Install Metro in Mountain Lion, you must turn off gatekeeper.

Also there is a bug in Metro 6.5.2 that makes some of Apple's Cocoa based plug-ins display wrong. This occurs in Lion as well. This problem is fixed in Metro 6.7 (unreleased as of yet).

The Turn Off Gatekeeper$$$ link is valuable information for many Mac users. This needs to be passed on!

The only solution I have found for the lack of scroll bar arrows in OSX Lion is to use the keyboard arrows but it doesn't work automatically.

This is not an issue. Did you see my answer to your bug report/question and did you try the "easy solution"?
