Does it only happen the first time you launch?

If yes, then perhaps you have too many plug-ins (or files in your plug-ins path).

In the previous version Metro would scan plug-ins on a different thread so the whole system would slow down but you could use Metro as long as you didn't do anything that involved a plug-in. We found this behavior more annoying than just waiting for all the plug-ins to scan.

Library/Preferences is a different place.

Try this article about accessing User ~/Library Folder in OS X Lion.

You have to give me more details on what the problem is and how is it that it is impossible to work.

When Metro starts up it scans all of your plug-ins so that they show in the plug-ins window. When it is finished scanning everything should be very fast. No?

Apparently others are having problems with Lion causing their machines to slow down.

I made a new metro install ( without any plug-in ) but it's still the same.
What can I do now ?

The best thing to do now would be to explain the problem so that I can understand what is happening. If you explain clearly and precisely in French perhaps I can have it translated.

How can you make an install without any plug-ins? You can remove plug-ins from the plug-ins folders but that has nothing to do with installation.
