Audio import problem in SE 6.4.1?

Postby spridget » Sun Jan 06, 2008 5:03 pm

I have just upgraded to SE 6.4.1, and I find that while running OS X 10.5.1 the Import Audio File selection in the File menu is not working with .aif files. For example, the drum loop example in the online manual is greyed out and cannot be selected. Same with all other .aif files. If I revert to OS X 10.4.11, it works properly. Is this a bug in SE 6.4.1??

Are you sure you are selecting the show all files in the popup of the open dialog?

Does dragging the .aif file on the Metro icon in the dock (or the graphic editor) work?

I will check this when I get back to Leopard.

edit:

Yes there is a problem. Some .aif files are greyed out and inaccessible from the import audio dialog under Leopard. This will be fixed but right now I am not sure why this is happening. In the meantime you can simply drag the file from the finder.
