Trouble Printing — I Blame FontExplorer, but...

Postby Territan » Mon Nov 09, 2015 1:41 pm

I have a score more or less assembled...

...well, I also need to know how to put in some repeats and "secondary" notes in the score to fix the scansion of different verses, but that's a later problem.

Primarily, I try to print the score, and it crashes.

I admit that I'm using a utility called FontExplorer Pro to wrangle a stupidly large number of fonts in multiple formats, and Aloisen, Metro's music typeface, may have gotten a little lost in the mix. However, I have confirmed that it is activated and available.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Yes, this is under El Capitan. However, I think I got this one licked.

Through multiple updates or some other process, I have three different copies of Aloisen on my computer. One is a TT-Mac in my Library/Fonts folder, one is a TT-Mac in the general font storage (possibly from an earlier version), and one is Aloisen New, a TT-PC in my Library/Fonts folder.

Aloisen New is the one I had to activate to print.

Now, please tell me that is the current version of the font that Metro uses? Because otherwise, I may start to worry again.
