LDAP, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, is an Internet protocol that email and other programs use to look up information from a server, in this case we use LDAP for user authentication to our Directory. Basically multiple users and home folders are stored in the directory server and any of these users can login to any computer and still access their home holders. The LDAP function is simply how the users authenticate. The problem we have is, whenever a directory user logs in to a workstation with Metro installed, even though the software is installed and registered on the local machine, it still prompts the user for registration and qualification information. I need to find a way to let the directory users use the local resouces with out having to register each user.
