ReWire, Reason, and Metro (Metro SE)

Has anyone successfully run the Intel version of Reason (3.0.5) with the Intel version of Metro SE (6.3.6)? I launch Metro first and turn on ReWire from the ReWire>ReWire On menu and when I then launch Reason, it insists on being in "Internal Sync" mode instead of "ReWire Sync" mode. I have verfied that Reason/ReWire is working with other apps (in particular Garage Band).
