Where are the grooves stored? Can't find them on the hard disk with a 'command find'

If you add new grooves, do they remain with a Metro update?

Grooves are stored in the Metro preferences file so yes they stay with you as long as you keep that file. It may be a good idea to back it up if you have valuable data in your Metro preferences file.
