I have a couple of questions before i consider using metro or one of it's lower models.
I have a Tascam FW1082 firewire audio interface and motories control surface. Will this work with Metro as a control surface ? If so is it easy to setup?
I also own a Yamaha Motif ES7 Keyboard which I use as a controller and as my main sounds. How does Metro deal with patches for a unit like this that has over a thousand sounds.
I like patch names to be visiable bank name and numbers mean nothing I have to have names and it done simply.. actually i like everything clean clear and simple. Cubase is the closest I have found so far.. I have tried Logic and hated it cause i couldnt get my head around it. and Tried Digital performer and again it is too complicated.
Thanks I will try the demo if these 2 things are doable

This would be doable in the full version only. Perhaps some one more familiar with the 1082 can comment on how easy to set up this would be.

This should not be a problem at all. If you can find a .ins file online, which I bet you can, it is simply a matter of opening the file from the program names dialog and then saving preferences from the preferences dialog. From then on, the names and banks appear in the patch change popups.

assuming your mac is already aware of your synth.........

launch metro

setup menu - program names

select your synth on the 'port' popup

I suppose select all the channels 1-16 - ticked

then open the .ins file you have for the synth with the open button near the top.

click ok.

In the graphic editor the names should be available from the Bank. and Pgm. popups

If you get it installed, go to metro prefs and click SAVE to keep it the next time you launch.

hey you're in NZ!
