Older Version Interference

One of the features I really Like about 6.1 is the addition of the Input Select column in the Tracks Window. Prior to the addition of this I was unable to get tracks to record seperately in Metro from my MOTU 2408. It seemed they always came in as stereo pairs. The addition of the Input select column has corrected that.

I've run into an interesting problem:
When I open a file saved with 6.0 by clicking on the Metro Icon in the saved songs' folder, it comes up as 6.0 which seems quite logical.
But if I then shut that down (not just that song but the program) and then open 6.1 to begin a new file, that is by clicking on the Metro Icon in the 6.1 folder, I get what looks like 6.0 opening up. That is, the Input select
column is gone from the Tracks Window. In order to get the Input Select column back I have to close the program and re-open it with a file that
was previously saved under 6.1

Im wondering how to avoid this problem.

I am not really sure if the problem is that 6.0 launches when 6.1 should or if the track-input-select column is missing. To remedy the first one, throw out or archive Metro 6.0. To remedy the second, click on the down-pointing triangle in the tracks window and select record-input-select from the ensuing popup menu.
