Buserror,

There has been a change in the MIDI Setup structure resource that Metro uses, for OS X, to get ready for adding device support to the remote control window. As far as I know the only thing that would change in your preferences would be your selected MIDI controller and sync in/out settings.

In other words you need to visit the MIDI setup dialog to re-specify your MIDI devices.

That and the programs, and instrument window settings were all gone it seems...

I noticed that one of my MIDI device was unplugged. Does metro handle that 'softly' or does it reset the whole config if one device is changed?

Metro does not (and should not) reset your configuration. If a device is unplugged then it will not be accesible in any of the port menus and the port name will (should) become bracketed. For example the port MyMIDIPort will appear as [MyMIDIPort].

If you option-click the bank select popup do your program-name-lists reappear?

Have you been messing with your MIDI setup in Audio-MIDI Setup (AMS)?

Audio plugins VST OS9 & not possible to worl with pre v

Postby arbastien » Sun Mar 02, 2003 9:22 pm

Where are all the VST audio plugins with build 2 of 6.0.5? Looks like it does not see them. Had to go back to 6.0.4. But then... ooops... No go; the file I was working on, saved with 6.05.2, was too new. It should be mentionned, I think, that once you save a file with the new version, you cannot work with an older version.

Tks!

VST Plugs

Postby Jerm » Sun Mar 02, 2003 10:53 pm

Which VST plugs and which OS?

The plug-ins for OS X should still be found. For OS 9 you may need to add an alias to the VST folder of 6.0.5.

The file is compatible with 6.04 but 6.04 does not know it. That is a bug. If you email me the file I can make it 6.04 compatible.

All 6.0.x files will be openable in all versions of 6.0.x after 6.05i3. This has been fixed. So what this means is that if you have 6.05i3 and you re-save a Metro file, it will be openable in Metro versions 6.0, 6.01, 6.02 etc.

Ok, cool. I'll wait for version 6.05i3.

For the plugins on OS9, well, all of them...! It's like the plugin folder is empty!
