The version 6.1.0.2 pre-release is now available. Users that downloaded the first 6.1 pre-release are strongly urged to download this update.

IMPORTANT: The official system requirements have changed. Metro 6.1 requires either OS 10.2 or later or OS 9.1 - OS 9.2.x! It is possible that Metro 6.1 will work with other OS's (such as 8.6, 9.0 & 10.1.5) but they are no longer supported.
IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with this version will NOT be readable in any version prior to Metro/Metro SE version 6.1!
IMPORTANT: This is a pre-release, meaning it has some bug fixes (and possibly features) that were deemed important enough to be released before it could be rigorously tested.
New to this version:
• Some resources got reverted in the 6.1.0.1 release. This meant that the remote control event that was supposed to be named 'controller jog' was mislabeled as 'set play position' and the remote control event 'wheel jog' was inaccessible. This has been fixed.
• Plug-in editor window titles in their editor windows and in the windows menu were in some cases completely wrong. This has been fixed.
• Support for the most-excellent OS 9 Sampler plug-in, Kontakt from Native-Instruments. There is, what I believe to be, a bug in Kontact that 6.1.0.2 has to work around for the plug-in to function properly. I am told there will be a OS X release of this plug soon.
• Plug-ins defaulting to more than 8 outputs will now load. Metro still limits the number of outputs for a plug-in to 16. If the plug-in has more than 16 outs it will not load.
• Metro would crash if an audio unit was placed in an effect chain and the previous member of the chain had more than 2 outputs. This has been fixed.
• A crash could occur when using the shift dialog on MIDI data assigned to a synth plug-in. This has been fixed.
• Miscellaneous display and other enhancements and bug fixes.
• All products are now in .sitx form so we should not have the 'does not launch' problem introduced with stuffit 8.
