6.0.7 Pre-release (no longer available)

Postby Jerm » Wed Apr 23, 2003 3:57 am

The Metro 6.0.7 pre-releases are available now.

IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with version 6.0.7 will NOT be readable in any prior version of Metro/Metro SE!

Changes to Metro 6.0.7

• Automation for volume and pan is now working in Metro SE.
• Effects MIDI filtering has been enhanced by adding support for controllers.
• New Mapping program changes to presets in the effect MIDI filter dialog allows bank select messages and program changes to select from the plug-ins preset list. Bank 0 corresponds to presets 1-128 and bank 1 corresponds to presets 129-256 and so on and so forth.
• Fixed a problem in port popups where the default item was being calculated incorrectly in some cases where multiple synth plug-ins were in use.
• Fixed a problem where the audio system would not start up automatically in some cases for synth plug-ins.
• Banks can now be selected numerically. This will insert a bank change controllers 0 and 32 into the track. This function is only available when no program name lists exist on a particular device.
• It is now possible to use plug-ins that input both MIDI and audio as an offline edit for audio.
• Some changes were made to increase compatibility with the following plug-ins:
Unity Session - banks can be selected numerically
SFX Machine RT - using as an offline edit is now possible
Sampletank

• The master fader was defaulting to 0 in some cases.
• OS X audio optimizations for G4 version on simple 2 channel audio devices such as built-in.
• Some OS X audio optimizations should improve performance on all systems.
• Cosmetic changes so that appearance drawn buttons appear greyed-out if app is in background or window is not front most.
• Better support for dynamic program name lists, created by loading sound banks for synth plug-ins such as the Apple:DLS MusicDevice.
• New 'reverb' on/off button in the effects window. When on, the DLS synth outputs a mixed (dry+wet) signal on stereo output 1. When off, it outputs a reverb send on stereo output 1 and a dry output on stereo output 2.
• Fixed a bug that was causing synth plug-ins to go missing after a different section was cleared!
• Fixed a bug related to synth plug-in names.
• Fixed a bug that in rare circumstances caused the plug-ins window to show duplicate plug-ins.
