IMPORTANT: The official system requirements have changed as of 6.1.
IMPORTANT: Metro Documents written with this version will NOT be readable in any version prior to Metro/Metro SE version 6.1!
IMPORTANT: This is a pre-release, meaning it has some bug fixes (and possibly features) that were deemed important enough to be released before it could be rigorously tested.
New to this version:
• New, Metro supports direct drags from the jukebox window of 24 bit or greater audio files. Previously it would erroneously convert them to 16 bit.
• New, when the graphic editor is the target of a drag it is made the frontmost window.
• New, Metro now precludes music devices from offline effects menu.
• New to this version of Metro SE and LX, direct drags of audio files from the jukebox or the finder to the graphic editor will now work correctly and not bring up an advertisement. If the source file is greater than 16 bit the file will be converted first.
• Metro automatically adds outputs for synth-plug ins when they are instantiated. If the plug is specified as multi-timbral Metro will create 16 outputs otherwise only one.
• Completely changed the layout of the contextual menu popup in the plug-ins window. There are new options for easily installing any plug to an aux buss or track. The category has been moved to a sub-menu.
• The Effects window has been renamed effects/synths.
• Automatically remove all soft-synth ports upon new. This removes the port change dialog from erroneously appearing.
• Fixed possible crash in rare circumstances
• Improved the naming of soft-synth audiounit ports
• Improved undoing of plug-in insertions
• Fixed a bug where the Jukebox was reshuffling even if the shuffle button was off.
• Fixed a bug where Metro would not follow playback in some cases when an aux buss was selected.
• Fixed a bug where the hot-keys to switch the graphic editor view were not being remembered properly.
• Fixed a bug where if an error occurred while building an audio overview this would cause a serious problem or memory leak.
• Fixed a bug in the remove silence function.
• Fixed a bug which could occur if the plug-in effects processor was invoked and then the window was either closed or the user switched to another application.
• Fixed a bug that could cause the jukebox to not playback 24 bit audio files in certain situations.
• Increased the performance of the jukebox's fast scan option in certain cases.
