Remote Control Assignments Disappear

Postby elp121 » Mon Feb 21, 2005 9:01 pm

I am making 8-10 remote control assignments in a song, saving the file, and also saving preferences. Then when I open the file again, only one will show up in the remote control window. Can these assignments be saved or will I have to create them every time I load the song? Also, can they be copied and pasted to other songs or must they be created for each song?

Example:

Event Ch. Command
_____________________________________________________________
Ctrl 1 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-1
Ctrl 2 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-2
Ctrl 3 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-3
Ctrl 4 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-4
Ctrl 5 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-5

I save the song and also save preferences, quit the program launch it again and here is what the remote window then shows:

Event Ch. Command
_____________________________________________________________
Ctrl 1 7 Instrument Vol. QS6.2-1

Someone please tell me there's something simple I'm missing. I just bought an Evolution X Session to help automate things. Thanks, Ed.

In Metro 6 all remote control assignments are saved in your Metro document. Alternatively you can save them as a preset in the popup in the remote control window. My recommendation is that you upgrade to the most recent version as 4.5 is no longer supported.

Can this be done in version 4.5 or do I still need to get Metro 6?

Presets are new to Metro 6. However, upgrade pricing is available to not just 5.x users but 4.5 users as well.

Metro 6 under OS9 is a godsend compared to 4.5!
(though I haven't run recent versions in 9.....like 6.2)
