Midi timecode frustration...

Postby deann » Fri Aug 04, 2006 9:15 am

I have Metro 5 (and Metro 6) in OS9 on G3. OMS Studio 4 as 8x8 midi router. I am trying to send midi timecode from Metro (as master) to a Mackie SDR hard disk recorder (slave). I have other sequencing software (Master Tracks Pro, Studio Vision Pro 4.2) and have verified that I have all my routings set up correctly and can get those sequencer(s) to lock together with the Mackie. I have checked the posts, double checked all I can find in the Metro manuals and I can not seem to get Metro to "send" midi timecode... (to anything). I have opened "midi set-up" dialog box and checked "send sync to;Studio 4", I have tried setting preferences " send midi timecode to midi thru" both ways and with no success. I am using the exact same OMS set-up in the other sequencers, so I think I have successfully narrowed down my problem to a software issue in Metro, but I can't figure out what I'm missing in Metro... is there a bug in my system? Any help would be great, and thanks for the posts, they help me a ton...

Metro does not send MIDI time code. Only MIDI Clock sync.
