Downloading Metro SE and LX problems

Postby murphy » Wed Jan 26, 2005 12:08 pm

I really don't understand why I always have this problem every time a new update is issued.

This happened to me again with the issue of version 6.23.

When I download Metro SE all is OK.

When I download Metro LX it always downloads and decompresses as Metro SE.

I just tried it and it works fine for me. What web browser are you using?

I use Netscape.

I just went to another Mac using FireFox and after the download Stuffit Expander ( version 9 ) says that the file metro does not appear to be compressed or encoded.

I also used Netscape. I select save file when a dialog appears. I then open the folder and double click on the .dmg file.

LX is not compressed with stuffit. You need disk image mounter to open .dmg files.

OK, finally got the Metro LX by using InternetExplorer which is not my favorite browser. Hope I remember the next time.
