Looping

Postby Frek » Fri Mar 28, 2003 3:16 pm

I'm trying to make a loop using this technique, ( http://www.sagantech.biz/metro/help/help531.shtml ).

But the loop doesn't repeat correctly, lets say I try loop bar 2 to 6, it doesn't play bar 2 to 6 the 2nd time, but bar 1 to 4. (ie it seems like it plays X bars (X = loop bar end - loop bar start) from the beginning.

Btw, it's midi and I'm using AppleDLSMusicDevice as the instrument.

Looping

Here is a simple example confirming the bug:

- make a midi track with port DLSMusicDevice of two bars
bar 1: whole note C
bar 2: whole note D

- define bar 2 as loop and play back

The loop plays note D, but with a pause of 1 bar (apparently starting at the beginning without playing C)

This happens with DLSMusicDevice, but not with an external device!

Independent track loops are not supported with audio tracks or synthesizer plug-in MIDI tracks. :(

For now simply use 'paste and'
